Movement connects.
Exercise keeps you fit, clears your head and strengthens team spirit. This is precisely why we at jls launched a 7-week exercise challenge. Every week, a new sport was on the programme - led by our own employees. The aim? To be active together, discover new sports and enrich the working day with exercise. Special thanks go to our CEO Damian, who personally launched this challenge.
A new challenge every week.
Our challenge ran for seven weeks, and each week we could look forward to a new sport. From dynamic games to relaxing workouts - there was something for everyone. Thanks to our dedicated employees, who shared their knowledge and enthusiasm for movement, we were able to experience a wide variety of activities.
The sports sessions took place over lunchtime in the employees' free time. This allowed us to actively organise our lunch break, clear our heads and start the afternoon with renewed energy. The exercise provided a welcome break from the working day and helped us to stay more productive and focussed.

A look at our programme.
- Dancing: In our first week, we tried out different dance styles together under the guidance of Tina, from ballet to hip-hop and salsa.
- Martial arts: Week 2 focused on body control, technique and self-defence. Our experienced martial artists Martin and Merlin introduced us to the basics of karate and jiu jitsu.
- Yoga: A perfect balance to everyday office life: our yoga session with Roxana helped us to recharge our batteries for the day with targeted breathing exercises and stretches.
- Jogging: This week it was time to get out into the fresh air and run around the Rotsee lake with Simon and Bruno in the rain.
🗣 «I usually only run to the coffee machine on a working day - this week was a good change.»
- Calisthenics: strength training with your own body weight, this week Dario introduced us to the basics of calisthenics.
🗣 «My arms felt like spaghetti after training - spaghetti al dente!»
- Ultimate: Jonas brought a fast, tactical game to the programme with Ultimate. The intense running and precise throwing provided plenty of dynamism and teamwork - and of course lots of red heads!
- Burner Games: To round things off, Hannah and Burner Games in the hall got really intense again! The perfect way to end the challenge with lots of fun.

Exercise is good for you!
After seven weeks of exercise, we can say one thing for sure: sport unites! In addition to the health benefits, the challenge also encouraged team spirit. We laughed, sweated and mastered new challenges together. Many of us have discovered new sports for ourselves and want to stay active in the future.
Will the challenge go into the next round?
The response was consistently positive. Perhaps a new edition with even more exciting sports? One thing is certain: this was not our last sporting event! We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this challenge such an experience! Everyone who took part, guided, motivated and brought this idea to life. Without your enthusiasm and commitment, this would not have been possible!
