Our jls team attended the Magnolia DevDays 2025 this year. For us, it’s essential that our experts continue to grow, stay up to date and connect personally with Magnolia and other digital agencies. Events like DevDays give us the opportunity to discover innovations early and maintain a direct dialogue with the platform vendor. In this blog post, I’ll share some of my personal highlights from the Magnolia DevDays 2025 – and give an outlook on exciting new features our clients can expect from Magnolia soon, without diving too deep into technical details.
AI, AI, AI – and even more AI
As everywhere right now, artificial intelligence was a dominant topic at Magnolia DevDays. Magnolia follows a clear strategy: rather than developing its own AI models or relying on a single one, it offers standardized interfaces. This allows seamless integration of common tools like GPT, Deepseek, Flux AI and more. This approach fits perfectly with Magnolia’s philosophy as a Composable DXP CMS – a system that adapts flexibly to existing tech environments, so every organization can build the ideal solution for their needs.
The true potential of AI becomes clear in areas such as automated content creation, image generation, intelligent content classification and the personalization of existing content for specific target groups. Magnolia’s AI module allows multiple models to be used in parallel – enabling the best tool to be selected for each use case. A major advancement is the integration of RAG mechanisms, which enable the use of custom, predefined prompts. Combined with existing CMS content, this leads to significantly improved results, as relevant content is directly included in the AI-generated output. In just minutes, complete content can be created, personalized variations produced, SEO descriptions generated and translated into multiple languages – all automatically. Tasks that used to take hours can now be accelerated massively through AI.
At jls, we are actively working on integrating such AI tools to make everyday workflows more efficient. The AI Accelerator Workshop at Magnolia DevDays was the perfect opportunity to explore real-world use cases and deepen our expertise. What impressed us most was the speed of progress: just one year ago, the AI module’s output was fairly limited – today it’s capable of delivering complete, publication-ready web content.
Magnolia Admincentral UI
Anyone who works with enterprise software knows: user interfaces rarely stand out for their design or usability. But expectations have shifted. Even in professional environments, there’s a growing demand for intuitive, user-friendly experiences. Magnolia has responded to this by launching a refreshed version of Admincentral – the main interface for managing and publishing content.
This update not only brings a clean and modern look but also focuses on improved accessibility. On the technical side, Magnolia has taken a big step forward: the new Admincentral is built on a modern design system using React. For us, this opens up new possibilities for implementing custom features and client-specific enhancements directly within the interface.

CSR, SSR, SSG, ISR and beyond
How websites are structured and delivered – known as rendering – has changed rapidly in recent years. For our clients, one thing matters most: websites must load fast, rank well and adapt flexibly to different use cases – whether it’s an online shop, a customer portal or a corporate site.
Magnolia supports a wide variety of rendering strategies, giving us full freedom to choose the best fit for each project. Magnolia provides not only best practices but also concrete integration examples for modern web frameworks. This enables us to build high-performance, future-proof web solutions tailored exactly to their purpose.
Magnolia PaaS & Cockpit
Since 2021, jls has successfully relied on Magnolia PaaS – a modern cloud platform operated and maintained by Magnolia. For our clients, this means benefiting from a secure, scalable infrastructure without having to manage the technical operations themselves. At DevDays, it became clear that Magnolia is constantly evolving the platform – with a strong focus on the Magnolia Cockpit.
This intuitive management interface will soon allow many tasks to be performed via self-service. Teams will be able to manage domains, renew certificates or change system settings directly in the UI – without deep technical knowledge. One standout upcoming feature is the ability to restore backups independently. This will allow content from the live environment to be transferred to a test system for realistic QA and development – saving time while increasing quality and security in ongoing projects.
Conclusion
Magnolia DevDays 2025 clearly showed how consistently Magnolia is evolving its platform – with a strong focus on user-friendliness, openness to modern technologies and flexibility for custom needs. The advancements in AI, the new Admincentral UI and the further development of Magnolia PaaS open up exciting opportunities for our clients. At jls, we’re looking forward to putting these innovations into practice and shaping digital solutions that are both efficient and future-proof.
