UX London 2025 was once again a true highlight for the jls team. The conference offers everyone working in User Experience Design the chance to gain new perspectives. For us, it was a valuable opportunity to deepen our knowledge, gather fresh inspiration and exchange ideas with like-minded professionals about the future of user-centred digital products.
User Research: Understand Before You Design.
Understanding users before designing – so simple, yet so hard to implement. This year, our main focus was on User Research and UX Testing. Of course, there were many inspiring sessions on strategy, design systems and AI – all topics that enrich our daily work at jls. But what we took away most strongly was the renewed commitment to get even closer to our users.
Context Matters: Designing for Real-Life Use.
A powerful example came from a talk titled «Designing content for stressful moments». The key takeaway: it's not just the user who matters, but also their environment. Whether it's a noisy emergency room, a hectic office or daily life with children – understanding the context of use is essential for designing successful digital experiences. For jls, this was a vital reminder for our UX practice.

From Assumptions to Testing: What Really Works.
Observation and interviews are not enough – testing is essential. Only through real user interaction with prototypes and products can we identify what truly works, where misunderstandings occur and which features create actual value. At jls, UX Testing helps us make informed decisions that have real impact.
Systems Thinking & Conversion Design as Success Factors.
Another inspiring talk explored the principles of Thinking in Systems and Conversion Design. The core idea: good UX is not built on intuition, but on data, user behaviour and interconnected processes. This mindset helps us at jls to design more deliberately and sustainably.
Conclusion: UX Begins with True Understanding.
Understanding our users is not a phase – it's a mindset. UX Design doesn’t end at the interface; it begins with empathy, context and active listening. With new motivation and fresh ideas from UX London 2025, the jls team is ready to shape even more user-centred digital experiences.
