The power of colors and values in jls office branding
In today's highly competitive working world, it is crucial for companies to differentiate themselves not only through their products and services, but also through their corporate culture and working environment. An effective way to achieve this is through office branding - the deliberate design of the working environment in line with the company's colors and values. This strategy plays a central role in employer branding and strengthens employees' identification with the company. In this blog post, we show how we at jls have implemented office branding to promote corporate identity and increase employee loyalty.
The importance of jls colors in office branding
Colors have a profound effect on our psyche and our well-being. They can arouse emotions, influence mood and even increase productivity. By integrating corporate colors into the office design, we can make our brand identity visible and tangible. Our colors are associated with our values, which makes the message of our values even more powerful.
Our accent colors and the assigned jls values:
- Neptune (Blue) - Reliable: Blue stands for trust, reliability and professionalism. This color can be used in work areas to create an atmosphere of stability and security.
- Kryptonite (Green) - Encouraging: Green symbolizes peace, nature and growth. This color can be used very well to show the value of support and personal development. In addition to the color, green elements such as plants can also be used here, which gives the workplaces extra life.
- Nebula (Pink) - Inspiring: Pink stands for creativity and inspiration. This color is particularly suitable for creative zones and innovation areas of the office, where ideas and new concepts are developed. It is therefore clear that this color was chosen by jls Business Development for the team office.
Application of the colors in the jls team offices
- Colored walls in the team offices: At our head office in Lucerne, where there are several team offices, each team was allowed to choose a brand color with which we painted walls. Each office could decide whether to paint a strip or an entire wall in one of the three accent colors.
- The common room: All three accent colors were used in the common room so that all three values were equally represented in the common space.
- Decoration and accessories: Each office was also allowed to choose plants to make the rooms more homely and to add a green touch to support our value of «promoting». We have also set up small lounges, which provide for new creative exchange situations.
Making values visible as a guideline
In addition to the colors, jls' values play a decisive role in office branding. They reflect our corporate culture and give employees a sense of belonging and orientation and increase their identification with jls.
We have had values posters produced in the design of our brand story. These show the colors, the value and a description of the value compactly in one image. We implemented these in a high-quality manner using Plexiglas.
The three values posters were hung up in all jls offices at the three locations so that they are seen by all employees every day, which leads to greater identification.
Office branding as a component of employer branding
Strong employer branding is based on an authentic and appealing presentation of the corporate culture. Office branding plays a key role here by making the brand identity physically tangible and integrating the company's values into employees' everyday lives.
Employees who identify with their working environment and experience the company's values on a daily basis tend to be more satisfied and loyal. This leads to a lower fluctuation rate and higher motivation.
Attract talents
A thoughtfully designed office that reflects the company colors and values is not only a great added value for existing employees, but can also be a decisive factor in recruiting new talent. It shows that we at jls attach great importance to a pleasant and inspiring working environment.
Additional visibility and communication through internal screens
Internal communication is also an important factor in employer branding. In addition to the classic intranet, we at jls have also decided to install screens, which makes sense for us as a digital signage provider. These internal screens allow us to play current messages so that they are visible to all employees at all times. In addition to these messages, we can also play the brand world and the values of jls in a targeted manner so that they can be perceived and internalized even more actively.
Conclusion
Office branding is far more than just an aesthetic measure. It is a strategic tool that strengthens corporate identity, promotes employee loyalty and supports employer branding. Through the targeted integration of corporate colors and values into the office design, we at jls create an environment in which all employees feel comfortable and with which they can identify. In this way, the office becomes a living expression of the corporate culture.
